Something happened a few weekends ago...something major. I attended a wedding with my friend Stef; artist, creating, and vintage master. We decided we should hit up a consignment store in between attending the wedding and reception. Go figure. The store turned out to be the most hidden gem. She wanted this coat for herself, and the tag initially led her to believe it was her size. Wrong. Vintage size clothing, runs much smaller, especially compared to today’s sizing (vanity sizing). She forced me to try this on because she said we couldn’t leave it in the store. I decided to throw it on for fun, but the fit got me. The cut of this coat is so classic, and the fit was so perfect, I had to look past the leopard print As many of you know, I don’t really love leopard print, but the FIT I could not let go. After Stef told me I was truly foolish to leave it, I reached out to one more vintage master. Jae white. Jae said “YOU WILL REGRET THIS if you leave it”. So I listened. I brought home my 60 dollar perfectly tailored vintage coat, and my grandma said it was made for me. I refuse to pair it with anything red because red and leopard is the worst!!
P.S. I got several other "vintage gems" that day because Stef truly has an eye for it. Well, an eye, and the patience. I will update with the other items soon after I get a few alterations!
