Two blogs in one month? Say what? Well, I felt like I had to blog about my looks the last two weekends because I did the social media unthinkable (insert chuckle), and wore the same pieces over again. The best part, I'm even posting the pictures. *Gasp* I know I harp on this a lot, because I want people to see that you can have fun playing in your own closet and wearing pieces you may already own. I always ask clients to send me pictures of pieces that they currently own to see if we could utilize anything for a new look. I really think that sometimes all you need is a fresh eye. When I'm bored with my closet I always snap pictures and send to my friend who makes me try on things I haven't worn in a while; so refreshing. Also, with the holidays approaching I will be spending money on lots of other things, so I have to get creative in my own closet with things I already own. If you haven't booked a consultation with me yet, don't wait. I can definitely help you look great for all the upcoming holiday parties.
I first wore this velvet skirt to a birthday dinner for my friend Halli. It was a cold night, so I decided that I wanted to rock my velvet thigh high boots. My bomber jacket is a closet staple that I've had for years. Outerwear is definitely something that you can invest in especially if you live in a cooler climate during the fall and winter months. I decided to pair the varsity jacket with my nike bodysuit. I had a lot of people ask me about the nike bodysuit, so here's the truth. It rises up and the fit is funky, definitely has to be worn with something high waist. I can't say I would buy another. I am going to take it to the alterations and see if they can adjust where it snaps.
Next up was my friend Brittany's wedding. I have never been to a fall wedding so I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of the weather. I decided to where the same velvet skirt because it quickly became a favorite after the first wear. Now about this fabulous lace bodysuit. I found this bodysuit that I loved, but the price I just couldn't justify. I watched it for two weeks and of course no change in price. So I searched, waited, and searched some more. Nothing was catching my eye like this lace bodysuit. I gave the internet one last search, and there it was. T.J. Maxx online, for $37.00, YEP! I definitely hit my happy dance on that one. Over 70 % off the original price, so it was definitely worth the wait. My accessories for this look included a target scarf and clutch. Yes, Target. No shame in my Target loving game. Shoes, velvet Louboutin. Investment piece, but they always make a statement. Do they hurt? YES! Are they fly? YES! When it comes to Louboutin I think everyone has to decide for themselves. I love that shoe, so the pain is worth it for a few hours.
Lastly, but most recently, I attended another birthday dinner. If you can't tell, my friends and I like to eat. This time around I rocked the lace bodysuit with a pair of my favorite Levis. When I say FAVORITE, I mean it. I love the classic straight leg on this 100% cotton jean. With Levis, they all fit differently, it really takes going into a store and trying on several pairs to find the right fit. As I have stated before, I don't really love jeans with lots of elastane. Just my personal preference on the look. But I'm also someone who doesn't like leggings unless I'm working out or running errands. I left leggings in college with Uggs. *Chuckles* Okay I can think of one pair of leggings that I would wear out as an outfit. Literally one. Completed this look with a Target bag, Zara jacket (outerwear is life), and Louis Vuitton sock boots. Can you tell how much I love to mix highs and lows?
Let me know what you think about the looks and email me if you want that fresh eye in your closet.
